Today was the last day for VBS and the construction. We have made it through the whole week. At the beginning of the week I didn’t think it would be that hard to leave the kids but today all of us cried. It just took a piece of your heart away knowing you were leaving them but at the same time it was a good feeling knowing that we had all shared the word of God with them. For around 15 minutes we passed around tears, high fives and hugs along with saying our goodbyes. During this process a little boy came running up to me and gave me the biggest hug and wouldn’t let go. I then started crying and he started patting me on the back and said don’t worry it will be okay. I will always love you and so will God. At that time I realized how much these kids looked up to us and even though we cared about them and it’s hard on us to leave them, they cared about us and it was hard on them too. All the kids know that no matter who leaves or comes into their lives, God is always in their heart and will never leave them. I’m so glad I was a part of this mission trip. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers.
God Bless, Trisha
